Blog of the week

Darren Naish is a tetrapod paleontologist at Univ of Portsmouth, not far from where I did my own PhD (good old Soton). He has quite a few interesting things to say about rabbits (my friend at the rabbit's lair would love this, although he probably already knows) and many other tetrapods...

Ciao gufodotto! I read your post... Nice post... and nice divulgation style... except for that bit of teleology ["Their incisive foramina... are uniquely elongate (for what purpose?)"]

Wondering about the function of a biological structure is not teleology. But thanks for the comments.

I knew Paolo would pick on that... and I'm ready to bet that he knows that you're not supposing the foramina were 'deseigned'. right Paolo?

ehr, that would be designed...

Well, I know (I hope!!) no one of us was talking about designs but I still prefer to place the question in terms like "What do they do with that?"...
Bye and... sorry for my bad English
