Did I took the wrong path?

Sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't have gone to biology, rather than chemistry, during my studies. It certainly seems so from my interests... just have a look at the previous posts in this blog... and the books I read, and those of you who knows me in person
know how much time spend wondering about dinosaurs and such stuff... a lot...

well, I wanted to do biology or physics but the first one wasn't very promising at my place, and the second one was out of discussion - no physics degree at my place, and not enough money to go anywhere else. So I did chemistry, good compromise in between the two and with good employment perspectives... and after the Comp Chem specialisation I've been slowly transitioning to biological sciences... with a computational twist all the way around...

who knows what the future holds for me?

"The first one wasn't very promising at my place"??
Dear friend, I think
"Homo [sapiens] faber fortunae suae"
[...and you are actually the demonstration :-)]
Still sorry for my English (and I need a TOEFL)

you don't need a TOEFL, you just need to practice...

and yes, I still consider that Biology at SS wasn't very promising (at the time at least) - I had a much more limited view than yours back then. and employment prospects for biologist were way below those for chemists. although timing was right, had I gone to biology I'd have come out right at the apex of the biotech revolution... but never mind, it's a fait accompli now...

as for "homo" being "faber fortunae suae", isn't everybody factual demonstration of this?
god I mixed too many languages... must rest now...

I think that you have done a wise use of all the "tools" tou gatherd in your career. If you still use them to satisfy your curiosities keeping collecting "tools", no matter how related to a particular field of application, you will be satisfied with yourself! Despite of any Chichita's "blue ribbon". Bye the way, i can say that you are far more skilled in the ITs filelds then many graduated i personally know.

No need to say that... i'm Very sorry for my english!
